PS2000 has added two overseas
licensees of its Byte World Youth boat. Sailboats
Enterprise of Singapore is licensed to build for SE Asia
and is having an incredible success in that market. It is
not surprising given the fact that the boat caters very
well to the lighter Asian sailor. The other builder is
Nautivela S.R.L of Milan, Italy, www.nautivela.com,
the foremost world builders of the International 420 and
470 and also builders of a very highly rated IOD 95
Optimist. They do not have a follow-on boat to the
Optimist and will now aggressively market the Byte to the
post Opti market in Europe.
In 2002, PS2000 is adding an IOD
95 Optimist to its line of boats and has elected to market
the top selling Optimist in SE Asia - the Xtreme Optimist
by Sailboats Enterprise (see Optimist
home page)
We are just completing our tooling
for a Class-legal Club 420 built to the Rules, Plans and
Specifications of the North American Club 420 Class. The
only other C420 Class legal boats are built in the States
by Vanguard, who developed and promoted the Class so
effectively in the US, and Catalina on the West Coast. The
pre-production boats will be sailed and demonstrated at
clubs this summer with full production to be in place for
2003. Clubs interested should contact
us if they are interested in trying the boat.
