The hallmark of really good design is the combination of high performance with ease of handling and the 29er is simplicity itself. A single line hoists the spinnaker and sets the pole and retrieves both. The crew never touches the pole! The boat is absolutely one-design, including the sails, and there are no go-fasts or gimmicks to add to the standard boat. Delivered as shown in the photo below, the 29er is ready to race. All the control lines are rigged, the spinnaker pole is installed, everything else is in place. Just put up the spar, reeve the spinnaker halyard and main sheet - it takes minutes - then grab your lifejacket and one of the new Bethwaite Safety Trapeze Harnesses and hit the water.

1. Jib sheet system is installed as are vang and Cunningham controls, pole brace and main bridle.
2. Pole and launching mechanism are installed.
3. Sheeting angle stops for jib car are installed.
4. Spinnaker ratchets are standard.
5. Main and spinnaker sheet package.
6. Centreboard case padded top and bottom to max allowable width.
7. Non-skid, sand blasted, aluminum safety grab (and foot) rails.
8. Self-draining cockpit with rear dam is carefully designed to hold water after a capsize to stabilize the very light hull before it drains out.
9. Skipper’s hiking straps are fitted with shock chord lifts.
